Gatlinburg, TN!

Last weekend we loaded up the fam (that means Steve, Leslie, Jem, and Nate) and headed to Gatlinburg, TN to join my family for a weekend getaway.  It’s a tradition in our family, so I was excited to be back.  For the 3 boys, it was a great first experience.

We spent the days shopping, playing at Fannie Farkle’s (an arcade for those of you who don’t know your Gatlinburg), playing mini-golf, riding the tram to the top of the mountain, eating, watching the Christmas parade, eating some more, and usually eating again.  It was my kind of weekend, and Baby Q was happy to be in tow.

Jem said his favorite part was that, “I felt like I was rich.  I woke up in the morning and there was money on the bed and I could go to McDonald’s and get whatever I wanted.”  We could have stayed in Colorado for that, but actually he loved the town a lot and said he wants to go back someday.  I’m not sure if he knew that I put the money on the bed or not, but I’m not one for killing dreams, so let’s just hope he doesn’t read this blog 🙂

Steve loved hanging out with the boys without distractions of home, it was some good bonding time.  You always know when boys are having fun because the stinch in your hotel room says they haven’t even had time for a shower.  Crazy-three years ago I went to Gatlinburg and I got to share a room with Laura.  This year I had to share a room with Steve and 2 teenage boys.  What has my life come to ? 🙂

All in all, we had a blast.  We came home to 6 inches of snow on Sunday and it is still coming down!!!!!  We are at over a foot now as far as I can tell.  Here is a pic I just took with the computer of some of our back yard.

And here are a few pics from Gatlinburg…

Enjoying the Christmas parade...

I’m out..going to cuddle under a blanket and trying to get some work done.

Happy Tuesday!

Quilico Craziness…

Wow.  Jem told me it’s been a long time since I updated the blog, and boy is he right!  Typically I don’t blog if life has been a little slow and there isn’t much to update you on, but this is not the case right now!

In the past month, I have put on a Young Life banquet, we took kids to Snow Camp, we bought a house, we moved, we had my parents in town for Thanksgiving, and we got through the first trimester!

We’ve been busy.

Here are a few pictures from Snow Camp…
